Principal Frontend Engineer | Rotterdam

As we scale fast, we’re evolving our entire frontend landscape and we’re looking for a Principal Frontend Engineer to lead the way. You’ll be based in our Rotterdam HQ, taking ownership of our most frontend-heavy applications and playing a key role in shaping a high-performing, modern engineering environment.

• Lead our frontend architecture
  You’ll be the go-to person for everything frontend—making sure decisions are aligned, scalable, and not stuck in silos.

• Drive speed through smart engineering
  We're shifting toward AI-enhanced workflows that remove friction and accelerate delivery. You'll help us embed that mindset and approach in every sprint.

• Keep us shipping
  We work in a two-week delivery cadence, focused on calm, consistent progress that drives commercial outcomes fast.

• Remove friction, increase flow
  You’ll spot the bottlenecks before they happen and design smarter, simpler systems to keep the team moving.

• Champion decoupling and modular design
  From headless architectures (Vue.js/NUXT) to backend-agnostic frontends, you’ll help us build for speed, scale, and flexibility.

• Architectural Leader – You think big-picture and long-term, aligning fragmented efforts into a single, future-ready architecture.

• Team Builder – You share your knowledge, coach senior engineers, and lead by example, across borders and time zones.

• Tech Expert – You’re fluent in modern frameworks (Vue.js/NUXT) and know how to build clean, modular, API-first systems.

• Performance-Minded – You obsess over mobile speed and frontend efficiency, not for vanity, but because it drives business.

• Fast & Pragmatic – You ship. You simplify. You make things work today, and improve them tomorrow.

• Present in Rotterdam – You’re available to work from our Rotterdam office 5 days a week.

• Close enough to commute – Ideally, you live within 60 minutes of the office, one way.

Bonus Points:

• Experience in e-commerce or high-growth tech environments.

• Hands-on experience transitioning from monolithic to headless architectures.
