Senior AI Automation Engineer | Rotterdam

We’re looking for a senior AI Automation Engineer to join our AI & Automations team in Rotterdam. In this role, you won't just be "using" AI; you will be the architect of a smarter, faster, and more automated HelloPrint. You’ll work at the intersection of technology and business, building high-impact solutions that transform how our Marketing, Supply, and Finance departments operate.

You are someone who views code as a means to an end. While you are highly proficient in Python, you don't want to spend your day writing every line manually. Instead, you act as a Supervisor of AI, leveraging LLMs and generative tools to write your code, while you focus on the logic, the architecture, and the "why." You are a builder who values speed and impact over traditional manual craftsmanship.

What You’ll Do:

• Architect AI Solutions: Design and deploy end-to-end AI agents and automation workflows that solve real business bottlenecks in Marketing, Supply, and Finance.

• Be a "Code Supervisor": Use Python as your primary tool, but let AI do the heavy lifting. You will prompt, review, and orchestrate AI-generated code to build solutions 10x faster than traditional methods.

• Master the Ecosystem: Design and deploy sophisticated AI agents using Python and Google Cloud, Google ADK, Google Agent Studio, Org.ai, and Vertex AI (our primary tooling for building these agents). 

• Bridge the Gap: Work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical reality. You’ll identify where AI can add the most value and then build it.

• Connect Anything: Navigate API documentation with ease. Whether it’s a REST or GraphQL API, you can "blindly" connect different systems to ensure data flows seamlessly across the company.

• Rapid Prototyping: Move from a whiteboard idea to a functioning automation in record time, maintaining a pragmatic balance between "perfect" and "done."

  
  

  

What We’re Looking For:

• The AI-First Mindset: You are obsessed with efficiency. You don't want to spend hours debugging what an LLM can fix in seconds. You are an expert at prompting and using AI to accelerate the development lifecycle.

• Technical Versatility: Strong proficiency in Python, including experience with LLM-related libraries such as LangChain. You have the mindset of a builder rather than a pure developer. You see code as a tool to solve problems.

• API Expert: You have deep experience working with APIs and webhooks. Connecting complex SaaS platforms like NetSuite or HubSpot is second nature to you.

• Agent Builder: Hands-on experience with an SDK or ADK for developing LLM agents; Google ADK and Vertex AI preferred.

• Data Management: Proficiency in data manipulation and querying (e.g., BigQuery) for data preparation.

• Automation Pro: Hands-on experience with n8n to build scalable, logic-heavy workflows.

• Business Acumen: You understand how a business works. You can sit with a Finance Manager or a Marketer, understand their pain points, and design a solution that actually moves the needle.

• Pragmatic & Fast: You prefer a working solution today over a perfect one next month. You thrive in a high-speed, scale-up environment.

• Rotterdam Presence: You are ready and able to work 5 days a week from our Rotterdam office.

• Local Commute: Ideally, you live within 60 minutes traveling time from our office (one way)

Nice to Have:

• Experience with e-commerce environments or high-growth tech scale-ups.

• Familiarity with vector databases, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), or fine-tuning LLMs.
