Senior AI Automation Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior AI Automation Engineer to join our AI & Automations team in Rotterdam. This isn’t just a role where you “use” AI: you’ll be shaping the way HelloPrint works across Marketing, Supply, and Finance. Think of it as building the machine behind the machine.

You're someone who sees code as a tool, not a craft. While you're fluent in Python, you're not interested in writing every line from scratch: you’d rather orchestrate intelligent systems than get stuck in repetitive builds. You act as a supervisor to LLMs and generative tools: guiding them, challenging them, and focusing your time on the bigger picture: the architecture, the logic, and the impact. You're fast, pragmatic, and driven by outcomes, not process.

What You’ll Do:

• Build Smarter Systems, Not Just Code
  Design and deploy end-to-end AI agents and automation workflows that eliminate bottlenecks across Marketing, Supply, and Finance. Your work will drive real business impact.

• Act as a Code Supervisor
  You’ll write in Python when needed, but mostly you’ll guide and review AI-generated code: prompting, structuring, and supervising your tools to build faster, not harder.

• Own the Full Stack of AI Automation
  Work hands-on with tools like Google Cloud, Vertex AI, Agent Studio, Org.ai, and Google ADK. You’ll build agents that don’t just “work”: they transform how we operate.

• Translate Ideas into Impact
  You’ll work closely with internal teams to spot high-leverage automation opportunities, translate them into technical solutions, and make them happen fast.

• Connect the Dots (and the APIs)
  Whether it’s REST, GraphQL, or something custom, you’re at ease navigating documentation and building seamless connections between systems.

• Prototype Fast, Iterate Smarter
  You’ll go from whiteboard to working prototype in days, not weeks: always balancing speed with value. Done > perfect, especially when “done” works.

  
  

  

What We’re Looking For:

• AI-First Mentality
  You’re obsessed with efficiency. Instead of spending hours debugging, you let LLMs do the heavy lifting. You’re confident in prompting and use AI to speed up every stage of development.

• Technical Versatility
  You’re highly skilled in Python and familiar with LLM libraries like LangChain. You approach coding as a means to solve problems, not as an art form.

• API Connector
  You’re at ease working with APIs and webhooks, and you’ve connected complex tools like NetSuite, HubSpot, or similar platforms more times than you can count.

• Agent Builder
  You have hands-on experience with SDKs or ADKs to build LLM agents. Bonus if you’ve worked with Google ADK and Vertex AI.

• Data Fluent
  You know your way around data: querying, cleaning, and transforming it with tools like BigQuery to make it useful.

• Automation Pro
  You’ve built scalable, logic-heavy workflows in n8n (or similar tools) and know how to keep them efficient and maintainable.

• Business-Minded
  You can sit with a marketer or a finance lead, understand their challenges, and turn that into a working solution that drives results.

• Pragmatic & Fast
  You aim for working solutions today, not perfection next month. You thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments.

• Rotterdam Presence
  You're excited to work 5 days a week from our Rotterdam office, and ideally, you live within 60 minutes of commute time.

• Fluent in Dutch and English
  You’re comfortable communicating with both local and international teams: whether in a tech deep-dive or a quick sync with stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience in e-commerce or fast-scaling tech environments.

• Familiarity with vector databases, RAG, or fine-tuning LLMs.
